World-Class Quality & Range

  • Available in PE (for sub-surface) and HDPE (for above-ground and UV-exposed environments).

  • Sizes from 0.5Te to 12Te.

  • Manufactured using virgin, high-grade yarn with UV stabilizer (not coated post production).

  • PE & HDPE outlasts recycled material in all environments.

  • Serial-number traceability.

  • Undergoes multi-layered testing: laboratory certified, batch-tested, and strict lifting-ring standards.

  • Proven durability, longevity, and consistent performance out in the field.

The Bag Size

GeoRock Rock Bags are available in sizes ranging from 1Te to 1Te, allowing customers to select the right unit for everything from light erosion control to heavy-duty scour protection.

Each size is proportionally designed with high-strength Raschel-knitted HDPE/PET mesh, internal vertical reinforcement ropes, and a single lifting ring for fast, accurate installation.

Smaller units are ideal for confined or shallow environments, while larger bags provide substantial mass and stability for coastal, river, and subsea applications.

Multiple mesh layers and lifting configurations are tailored to each weight class to ensure safe handling and long-term durability, giving designers a flexible, modular system that can be scaled precisely to project requirements

Why Rock Bag Filter Units Stand Out

  • Fast & Flexible Deployment: Prefilled units pop into place with the Self‑Autonomous Hook™, reshaping to fit contours with ease.

  • Proven Durability: Constructed with UV‑ and wear‑resistant PE or HDPE synthetics for long‑term resilience, even in environments.

  • Eco‑Conscious Design: Encourage marine life colonization and reduce microplastic release by up to 95% when using HDPE.

  • Scalable & Adaptable: Available in 0.5T–12T sizes, fitting everything from localized erosion repairs to offshore installations.

The Material

GeoRock Rock Bags are manufactured using high-performance High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) or Polyester (PET) mesh. Both materials are selected for their strength, durability, and resistance to marine environments. Where polyester is used, only virgin feedstock is specified to ensure material purity, consistent performance, and long-term reliability in critical erosion and scour protection applications. We love our planet and

Filling Method

  • Rock Bag Filter Units are rapidly filled and simple to install whether it’s above ground or sub-surface. With precise sizes being 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 Ton the dimensions, volumes and weights can be incorporated into an engineer’s design along with accurate estimation of other items such as rock, labour, crane, transportation etc.

  • The circular design of our filling jig increases daily output by 30% and maintains the best possible shape for safe lifting, transporting and placement without damage.

  • A small team can fill 100 bags per day comfortably.

Delivery

Rock Bag Filter Units are fast and economical to deploy. Filling can take place directly on site or alternatively another location for transportation. Project Material can assist with on-site training, sale or hire of filling stations, project management to ensure safe and accurate placement of rock bags, quarry and transport contacts.
